About the Author

Faye Oliander is an Afro-Surinamese author of Fantasy & Science Fiction. Her female gaze epic fantasy books transport readers to non-Western settings, weaving epic adventures with a touch of romance.

Currently residing in a small European country with her beloved cat, Faye enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and indulging in her love for old-school music and movie soundtracks. A true foodie at heart, she’s always on the lookout for her next culinary adventure.

While Faye has been an avid reader all her life, the idea of becoming a writer didn’t cross her mind until six years ago. When one of her favorite authors seemed to take a series in a direction she hadn’t envisioned, a thought sparked: Why not write my own story with my own ending? And so began her journey as a writer.

A Legend in the Sky, her debut novel, and the first book she ever wrote, released April 15, 2025. The sequel is set to release early 2027.
